In terms of functional lighting in the scenic area, the basic lighting for garden roads, surrounding squares, and secondary embankments will be upgraded and improved. With precise light distribution design, the lighting in these outdoor activity venues and fitness trails will be more scientific and reasonable in the future, and the problem of glare will become a thing of the past. In addition, after the project renovation, through precise light control, different color temperatures and brightness will be adopted for different parts, making the Mao Zedong Youth Art Sculpture more three-dimensional and vivid, and the glare problem will also be effectively improved. Street lamp poles will be transformed into multi-functional integrated poles, which can carry smart devices such as display screens, urban radio, cameras, and environmental monitoring in the future, bringing great convenience to the management of the scenic area and the experience of tourists.

In addition, there will be significant moves in the lighting of the waterfront shoreline. The original tree-facing lights along the main garden paths will be removed and replaced with concealed lighting installed on the trees, and the garden lights will also be upgraded to LED garden lights. Some additional colored lights will be added along the shoreline to echo and interact with the mountain lights of Yuelu Mountain, forming a poetic and picturesque sequential scroll of images. The buildings in areas such as the Gongji Building and the Jiangshen Temple at the Gongji Building node will also take on a new look, with their lighting effects greatly enhanced.
It is worth mentioning the upgrading of the lighting at the Fireworks Square. In the area facing the Du Fu River Pavilion, a 120-meter-long musical fountain will be built on the basis of the original fountain pool. The fountain will have a variety of forms, and water screen projections will be carried out in the 70-meter central area.
